The last few years have seen a shift in the housing market that has not only made it more difficult for people of moderate income to buy houses, but also forced potential homebuyers into rental situations that are artificially inflated and beyond their means. In either case, this translates into a working-class housing nightmare of proportions heretofore unseen.

It’s been almost a year of housing insecurity for Jude and Sierra. After having their Woodstock rental sold out from under them, they attempted to buy in Boiceville. Their first purchase fell through at the last minute: when the sellers made a dramatic move a week before closing that torpedoed the deal. Sierra & Jude hit the ground running to find another place, and their forever home showed up almost instantly. In the interim, however, mortgage rates have skyrocketed; requiring an additional $15,000 towards the downpayment of a less expensive house.

It is for this reason that they are organizing a concert to engage the help of their community of friends. Their gratitude is unending and their reciprocity is forthcoming!
